Study skills I have
I understand the university system and my part here, along with how to maximise my learning, and how to use the library and its facilities and have good IT, numeracy and reading skills which are being worked on as I progress through my course, I do have fairly good speaking and listening skills but do suffer when there is a larger audience when it come to portraying my view. Working with others does not seem to be a problem to me, once I have got to know those that I am working with.
I do have some problems with my pathway as their has been very large problems with my time table so I am not able to get into the groove and work my way on, and due to this I have not had the time to work on my reference work, but this will be gone into more depth during some timetabled slots so I am not worrying to much about this, and I am hoping this will also show me how to use the system of module choice and confirmation.
SWOT analysis
Strengths
·         Highly inquisitive
·         Punctual and relativly good to keeping to a deadline
·         Good when it comes to IT interaction
·         Fairly good mental arithmetic skills
·         Am a friendly easy to come to person, making interactions between other students and lecturers easy and conflict free
Weaknesses
·         Can be shy
·         Wont always come forward with a valid point if its required
·         When I come up to something that could confused me or I find very hard I find it hard not to give up
Opportunities
·         University is offering a possible good career pathway
·         University is offering a good place to build my confidence
·         University is offering a great place to work on self sufficiency
Threats
·         The work load
·         The having to find money
·         Having to work and learn
·         The complexity when it comes to going into a subject
This all shows me that I am happy to be here just worried about the future, but also looking into the future to better my life through a career and possible friendships and skills I can take away from university.
Myers Briggs
The result I got from this model was ENTP. I do not agree with everything that was put into each caste as I believe that people themselves can’t be categorised, however I do feel that this did describe me rather well especially in the extroversion side of things as I do see my self as someone who gets energy from doing more, going out having fun not staying in, however as this is a model and nobody can completely fit this into this. As I’m placed me almost right in the middle of sensing and intuition as I act in both ways. I agree to the fact I am a thinker and like to work things out. I also agree with the perceiving part. I do feel this model can give and has given a rather good character structure to my self, and has let me see how I am so I can fit my working methods to my personality, which should aid to my studies at university.
VARK
Visual = 5/16
Aural = 8/16
Read/ Write = 7/16
Kinaesthetic = 10/16
Looking at what was said I think I am a rather multimodal person.  I do seem to follow certain trends when it comes to my personal studies. I will admit I would rather try something fail and try it again and again until I learn what was required. I suppose this is what would one day, possibly allow me to be a very practical engineer. Although this is not always the most time efficient way in doing certain things especially if on  budget or time scale, so other methods are available to me to work through these problems, such as using my Aural skills to take in a lot of information and retain it, and go over these things with fellow students and/or lecturers. I am quite surprised about my Visual score as I have always thought of my self as someone who pictures a problem in their head and can look at the different ways in which to solve it or work around it. My Read/Write score also has surprised me due to the fact I find it very difficult to take information out of a book and just recite it, as I do not see this as a way of learning id rather take it in visually. However I will try all these methods in more depth now I have the opportunity to.

  1. Well structured and answered PDP exercises and nice reflections on your VARk and Meyers-Briggs results - keep going like this and you will sail through the module.
    You have now passed the PDP element of the module
